1. Who is responsible for your data

Live Nation Festivals NV, trading as "Rock Werchter", is the controller of the personal data processed through shop.rockwerchter.be.

We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

2. What data we use, why, and for how long

We only collect the data we need. You are not obliged to give us your data, but without the data marked for orders we cannot process your purchase.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Who we share your data with

We never sell your data. We only share it with parties that help us run the webshop, and only as far as they need it.

Our processors may only use your data on our instructions and under a data processing agreement.

4. Transfers outside the EEA

Some of our service providers, such as Shopify, Stripe and Live Nation Entertainment in the United States, may process your data outside the European Economic Area. In that case we make sure your data remains protected, through an adequacy decision of the European Commission (for example for Canada, or for US companies certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or through the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for more information or a copy of these safeguards.

5. Cookies

The webshop uses strictly necessary cookies, for example to keep your shopping cart and secure the checkout. These are always active.

We only use analytics, functional, advertising and social media cookies if you consent. You can accept, refuse or choose per category when you first visit the shop, and change your choice at any time via "Manage my cookies" in the footer. Refusing these cookies does not stop you from ordering. [Check that the shop's cookie banner actually works this way.]

6. Your rights and how to use them

You have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • have your data deleted, unless we must keep it, for example for accounting;
  • restrict the processing of your data;
  • receive your data in a structured format, or have it transferred to another company (data portability);
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and at any time to direct marketing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before.

To use these rights, email privacy@livenation.be. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will reply within one month; for complex requests this may be extended by two months, and we will tell you if so. Using your rights is free of charge.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels – gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

7. Security, children and changes

Security. We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and agreements with our processors.

Children. The webshop is not intended for children under 13. 

Changes. We may update this notice. The latest version is always available on this page; we will inform you of important changes.
